Amy & Debbie found me through a facebook referral. Similar to them, the second we got off the phone, I knew we’d be partners and in turn, friends. Thank GOD this was true.
From booking, we got to planning on their engagement session. Amy & Debbie were drawn to my work because of my passions: celebrating nature, challenging myself and business to grow in inclusivity and advocacy, and LAUGHING.
Before I show you their precious, intimate, New England wedding at their favorite vineyard, I just have to show you what a typical engagement session looks like with me. It usually centers around a special place in nature (this was one of my favorite spots with Babel, so she and I took them here!) and maybe getting a bite with the couple after. That’s exactly what we did.
Amy & Debbie fell in love with the people and space at Willow Spring Vineyards in Haverhill, MA. After their wedding, I offer them my freaking HIGHEST recommendation. If you want an intimate, stunning, accessible place for your loved ones, this is is. Rustic venue space, elegant grounds, and people who take care of you from start to finish.

Amy and Debbie are both not just passionate about wildlife, conservation, and everything in the natural world arena, but they dedicate their lives to it. Amy studied marine life and works as a key member at the New England Aquarium (woop woop), and did I mention her outspoken advocacy to marine knowledge, conservation, and keeping the love of learning alive? If you have childhood nostalgia like me and want to support in many ways, click here. Debbie, on the other hand, works for an incredible outdoor education program for youth called White Pine Programs. You NEED to check them out.
So, with their love of nature, simplicity, and their closest loved ones, they knew they wanted to be with a team like Willow Springs who loved them dearly as a couple. From there, we got planning on how to keep their intimate wedding true to them.
I get to know my couples as people first, which helps me create art as authentic storytelling, not just cheesy snapshots of their day. Through planning together, I knew they wanted the details illustrating their love of animals, their sentimental tattoos (by the same artist!), their pride for their love, and their family/friends letting LOOSE.
perfect. I mean this. Part of my wedding planning process involves creating a customized timeline for my couples, with plenty of wiggle room / plan Bs involved. and Plan Bs pretty much ALWAYS have to happen. However, in Amy and Debbie’s case, each of them, as well as their guests, were about as calm, warm, and ready to party as they come. This fall day was so perfect because it centered on exactly what they loved, and nothing that they didn’t.
Enjoy this wedding gallery of two people I now consider my friends 🙂 It was a JOY, Amy & Debbie. Can’t wait to hike with you down the line.
Love,
