My style of family photography is something like: "your lives in motion." I resonate so deeply with photojournalistic (more candid and realistic) photography, especially with families, because your REAL, messy, life, is worthy.

Our IVF story has literally been documented through incredibly raw, joyful, real, moments, through the artistry of Kayla. She has been there since the beginning, and the gift of our story-through pictures is beyond words.

- many families print images, and your gallery has a professional print shop linked straight to it! OR, print on your own. You do you.

What if I don't want my children on social media/website?
As weird as it sounds, my approach is very much: interact with one another and just be together (walking in a field, doing the dishes, a quiet moment together on the couch listening to records). These little moments are what I hone in on.
HOWEVER- I am one of those people who feels awkward in FRONT of the camera, so I definitely guide people and ensure they know I've got them covered. I offer slight suggestions or adjustments and then we go on our merry way together.
What should we "do" at our session?
TOP priority: what you are comfortable in.
WITH this said, I have found that certain ideas can really help guide families toward flattering, non-distracting, natural clothing.
I have a wardrobe guide I send to my families to make sure they feel confident and at ease!
What should we wear?
Long story short, they will be exactly how long you need. Photojournalistic family photography is SUCH a blast because sessions are each incredibly unique.
My sessions start at 1 hour and my extended packages for larger family sessions ensure everyone has time to feel comfortable, change clothes if they want, and enjoy the experience.

Do you offer payment plans?
YES. Similar to elopements, I feel families shouldn't have to compromise quality for their special family session. I work with families individually to find a payment plan/schedule that eases their minds. I firmly believe in this. I encourage people to communicate individual needs. If we are the right fit, I will do whatever you need to ensure we partner together. ALL of my packages are ALL inclusive for this reason, as well: transparency.
What type of family sessions do you offer?
- Maternity: in-home, intimate sessions, or more playful outside
- Delivery

- Family adventure sessions (an evening hike, a stroll through the neighborhood, etc.)
- Celebration of life (with great care, planning, and consideration to family needs)

The next day, you get a preview of images to cheer for with your loved ones. A few weeks later, you get your gallery emailed to you and access to your professional print shop.
